Fossils

A short, sweet little show featuring a slightly surreal hunt by scientists for the Loch Ness monster. The delightful and talented trio of actors made their own music (with the exciting DJ set below) and played a selection of different roles. It was a true ensemble piece. Additionally, this show included dinosaurs in large numbers and it’s hard to argue with numerous dinosaurs being on stage at the same time. Especially when people started talking through the dinosaurs themselves.

I’m not going to deny it was a tad cryptic at times (a bit like Nessie herself I guess..) with much hinted at but never entirely explained. When the show ended I wasn’t actually sure that was the end. But overall it was immersive and fascinating, a lot of fun with some lovely music and a very pretty song in the middle. The terrible science jokes were a particular favourite of mine. If you want something visually attractive and a just bit different then I thoroughly recommend this piece of drama.
